Jeep Meridian powertrains: common questions

How many powertrains is the Jeep Meridian sold with?
3: Diesel manual, Diesel automatic, Diesel automatic 4WD. The cheapest way into the range is the Longitude 2.0 Diesel MT at ₹23,33,000 ex-showroom, and the dearest entry point is the Limited (O) 2.0 Diesel AT 4WD at ₹36,05,000.
On the Jeep Meridian, does changing powertrain change the equipment?
Yes on the Longitude. Going from the Longitude 2.0 Diesel MT to the Longitude 2.0 Diesel AT adds Cruise Control, which we value at ₹12,500 against a price gap of ₹4,20,000.

What this car's data leaves out

Every grade the maker prices: the five-seat Longitude and the seven-seat Longitude Plus, Limited (O) and Overland, with the manual or automatic, plus the Limited (O) and Overland 4x4 automatics. Left out: the limited-run Trail and Track editions.

Data notes — where these figures come from

PRICES: the maker's configurator gives one ex-showroom price per variant for the whole country (the same figure whatever pincode is entered). SEATS: the Longitude is sold only as a five-seater (the maker's 'optional 5-seater trim', 670-litre boot); every other grade is a seven-seater with a 50:50 fold-flat third row. The 2026 update added a sliding second row to the Limited (O) and Overland, which has no registry entry. LEFT OUT: the Trail Edition (manual and automatic) and the Track Edition (automatic and 4x4 automatic). The maker calls the Trail a limited-time edition of the Limited (O) with decals, badging and trim colours; neither edition has an equipment column in any maker document. DOCUMENT DATE: the maker's current brochure dates from October 2024 and predates two changes. The Limited (O) 4x4 automatic was reintroduced in January 2025; it is credited with the Limited (O)'s own equipment only, because the brochure states Selec-Terrain and hill descent control for the Overland 4x4 alone. ADAS is credited on the Overland only, as the brochure and the model page both state. ENGINE: the 2.0 Multijet II turbo diesel, 125 kW (168 bhp) and 350 Nm, shared with the Jeep Compass. The maker quotes efficiency only as 'up to 16.25 km/l' for the range, not per powertrain, so none is stored. SCREENS AND CLUSTER: the 25.6 cm (10.1-inch) touchscreen sits at the 9-inch level. The Limited (O) and Overland cluster is 26 cm (10.2-inch) in the brochure and '10.25-inch' in maker press releases; it is credited at the 7-inch level until the figures agree, the same as the Longitude's 7-inch cluster. UPHOLSTERY: the Longitude and Longitude Plus have Seal Grey vinyl seats, which the maker distinguishes from the 'vegan leather' of the Limited (O) and Overland; only the latter earn the leatherette entry. NOT CREDITED: the electronic parking brake (every grade has one, but auto hold is never stated). Tyre pressure monitoring (described as a low-pressure warning, not a per-tyre readout). The reversing camera's guidelines (no guideline type is stated). Rear disc brakes (not stated in the maker's Meridian documents). Ambient lighting (a dealer accessory pack). The power tailgate, third-row AC controls, two-tone roof and suede trim have no registry entry. Cruise control is marked '(AT Variants Only)', so only the automatics are credited it.
