Fuel only. It does not price servicing, insurance, tyres or what the Mahindra Thar OG is worth when you sell it — a diesel usually costs more to maintain, and we publish no figure for that rather than estimate one. 7 of these variants have no certified efficiency, so type your own to see a cost.

What this car's data leaves out
All 15 variants Mahindra prices, in both rear-wheel and four-wheel drive. Mahindra publishes no certified efficiency figure for this car, so none is shown.
Data notes — where these figures come from
Drivetrain is modelled for the first time on this car: powertrainKey now carries it, so a rear-wheel-drive variant is never laddered against its four-wheel-drive twin — the ZXT 2.2 diesel automatic is ₹17,49,000 in RWD and ₹18,99,000 in 4WD and the difference is a transfer case, not equipment. Terrain modes are credited only on 4WD, which is how the brochure marks them; the 'Zip and Zoom' drive modes are marked 'Only in RWD of 2.2L mHawk & 2L mStallion' and are credited only there. Under-credited rather than guessed: the brochure lists 'HVAC' without calling it automatic climate control; 'Adventure Statistics Gen II' is not clearly the connected-car suite the registry prices, so connected car technology is credited nowhere; the rear seat is a 50:50 split, not the 60:40 the registry prices; the steering tilts but does not telescope; and the AXT's R18 wheels are steel with no cover listed. The ZXT's R19 alloys are credited at the 18-inch tier, the nearest rung at or below. Electronic locking differential, front axle driveline disconnect, washable floor with drain plugs, roll cage and brake locking differential are real four-wheel-drive hardware the registry has no entry for, so none of it earns anything. SEATS (10 Oct 2026): 4, from every variant card on Mahindra's own THRN model page ('4 Seater'). EFFICIENCY (12 Oct 2026): none stored. Mahindra publishes no certified efficiency for the Thar OG, on its model page or in its brochure. REVERSING CAMERA (re-read 29 Oct 2026): the maker describes the camera without saying its guidelines move with the steering, so the camera entry (moving guidelines) is not credited.
