What it costs to run

Fuel only — change any figure to your own

Prices are Delhi's, read 2026-11-04. Fuel duty is set per state, so they are the state's figure rather than Delhi's.

AX 2.2 Diesel MT· no certified figure—

Fuel only. It does not price servicing, insurance, tyres or what the Mahindra XUV 7XO is worth when you sell it — a diesel usually costs more to maintain, and we publish no figure for that rather than estimate one. 1 of these variants have no certified efficiency, so type your own to see a cost.

Trim by trim

Each block is one trim level. The cheapest powertrain at that trim is the baseline; every other is shown as what it costs over it.

Mahindra XUV 7XO powertrains: common questions

How many powertrains is the Mahindra XUV 7XO sold with?
4: Petrol manual, Diesel manual, Petrol automatic, Diesel automatic. The cheapest way into the range is the AX 2.0 Petrol MT at ₹13,99,000 ex-showroom, and the dearest entry point is the AX3 2.2 Diesel AT at ₹18,37,999.
On the Mahindra XUV 7XO, does changing powertrain change the equipment?
Yes on the AX. Going from the AX 2.0 Petrol MT to the AX 2.2 Diesel MT adds Multiple Drive Modes, which we value at ₹8,750 against a price gap of ₹1,37,499.

What this car's data leaves out

Left out: all-wheel drive and the six-seat layouts. An AWD variant compared against its 2WD twin would score the drivetrain as missing equipment.

Data notes — where these figures come from

CORRECTED 18 Oct 2026 against Mahindra's own per-variant specification pages (auto.mahindra.com, "View all specifications" on each trim) and the brochure's variant walk: front parking sensors are on the AX5 only (the walk footnotes them "Only available on AX5" and the spec pages tick them on AX5 and no other trim), so AX7, AX7T and AX7L no longer carry them; AX7T and AX7L now carry the 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio and the front wireless charger with active cooling, which had never been credited; Level 2 ADAS is credited on the AX7T and AX7L automatics only, because the walk marks adaptive cruise "AT Only" (the spec pages also tick it on the manuals, so the manuals are under-credited rather than guessed); and AX7L's multi-zone ambient lighting is credited. Mahindra's spec pages show Hill Assist as absent on AX and AX3 while the walk lists Hill Hold Control within the AX's ESC; the walk's explicit wording is kept. 2.0 mStallion turbo-petrol manual and automatic, and 2.2 mHawk CRDe diesel manual and automatic, on AX, AX3, AX5, AX7, AX7T and AX7L in their seven-seat, two-wheel-drive form; AX7T and AX7L are not sold with the petrol manual. Mahindra's brochure describes the top two as additions: AX7 Tech adds Level 2 ADAS, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio, ventilated front seats, fog lamps, the electronic parking brake and a front wireless charger over AX7, and AX7 Luxury adds multi-zone ambient lighting, 19-inch wheels, a powered co-driver seat, ventilated rear seats and a rear wireless charger over AX7 Tech. Its 19-inch wheels sit at our 18-inch level and its second, rear wireless charger is not priced separately. Adaptive cruise control is automatic-only; ordinary cruise control is credited on every trim. The brochure lists no other gearbox-dependent equipment, so each automatic inherits its trim's list. Zip-Zap-Zoom drive modes are diesel-only and are not credited. The AX5's R17 'Versa' wheel is styled steel rather than alloy, so only the AX7's R18 diamond-cut wheel earns alloy credit. Mahindra publishes no certified efficiency for the diesel or the automatics, so those variants store none. The six-seat layouts and AWD are not modelled — AWD is a drivetrain choice, and laddering it against its 2WD twin would score it as missing equipment. Rebuilt from Mahindra's variant walk on 16 Sept 2026. The powered driver's seat is 6-way, so it is credited at our 4-way tier rather than the 8-way one; the Ice Cube fog lamps, the electronic parking brake and the front ventilated seats arrive at AX7 TECH and had been missing. The AX5's R17 "Versa" wheel is listed apart from both the covered steel wheel below it and the diamond-cut alloys above, so it is credited at the wheel-cover tier rather than assumed to be an alloy. Hill descent control and Adrenox connected services are in the AX column, so every trim has them. Mahindra publishes no certified fuel-efficiency figure for the XUV 7XO: its own model page carries no kmpl, km/l, mileage or ARAI figure anywhere, checked 26 Sept 2026. None is stored rather than borrowing one, and this is recorded so the next check does not go looking again.
