Maruti Jimny powertrains: common questions

How many powertrains is the Maruti Jimny sold with?
2: Petrol manual 4WD, Petrol automatic 4WD. The cheapest way into the range is the Zeta Pro 1.5 Petrol MT at ₹12,59,000 ex-showroom, and the dearest entry point is the Zeta Pro 1.5 Petrol AT at ₹13,65,000.
On the Maruti Jimny, does changing powertrain change the equipment?
Not on the Zeta Pro, which is sold as both the Zeta Pro 1.5 Petrol MT and the Zeta Pro 1.5 Petrol AT with identical equipment. The ₹1,06,000 between them buys the powertrain and nothing else.
What mileage does each Maruti Jimny powertrain claim?
Petrol manual 4WD: 16.94 kmpl; Petrol automatic 4WD: 16.39 kmpl. These are the manufacturer's certified figures, not our own, and CNG is certified per kilogram rather than per litre — the two numbers are not comparable directly.

What this car's data leaves out

All four variants Maruti prices. The two Dual Tone versions are left out as paint, the same rule applied to every other car here. Every Jimny is four-wheel drive.

Data notes — where these figures come from

The Alpha's headlamps are listed only as 'LED Headlamp' with no mention of DRLs, so they are credited at the projector tier rather than the full LED-with-DRL tier, and its fog lamps are not stated to be LED. 'Push Start/Stop' is credited as push-button start rather than smart keyless entry, because no passive entry is listed. ALLGRIP PRO with its low-range transfer case is genuine off-road hardware the registry has no entry for and earns nothing; the same is true of the tilt-only steering, which is not the tilt-and-telescopic the registry prices. WIRELESS ANDROID AUTO (9 Oct 2026): Maruti's brochure (NEXA-Jimny-Brochure.pdf, July 2024) says both screens, the 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ and the 7-inch SmartPlay Pro, pair 'wirelessly' via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay; it predates the Zeta Pro / Alpha Pro names, which carry the same screens. SEATS (10 Oct 2026): 4, from the 'Seating Capacity' row of Maruti's NEXA-Jimny-Brochure.pdf. REVERSING CAMERA (re-read 29 Oct 2026): the maker describes the camera without saying its guidelines move with the steering, so the camera entry (moving guidelines) is not credited. 29 Oct 2026: the NEXA brochure (July 2024, p.10) lists 'ESP' and 'Hill Hold Control' on both Zeta and Alpha, so every variant is credited ESC with hill-start assist.
