Renault Kwid powertrains: common questions

How many powertrains is the Renault Kwid sold with?
2: Petrol manual, Petrol AMT. The cheapest way into the range is the Evolution 1.0 Petrol MT at ₹4,52,900 ex-showroom, and the dearest entry point is the Evolution 1.0 Petrol AMT at ₹4,89,900.
On the Renault Kwid, does changing powertrain change the equipment?
Not on the Evolution, which is sold as both the Evolution 1.0 Petrol MT and the Evolution 1.0 Petrol AMT with identical equipment. The ₹37,000 between them buys the powertrain and nothing else.

What this car's data leaves out

Every trim and gearbox Renault prices. Left out: the Climber's dual-tone paint versions.

Data notes — where these figures come from

Prices from Renault's own configurator price list (document BAE0, applicable 3 Jul 2026), ex-showroom Delhi, plain paint; the Climber's dual-tone versions are not modelled. Equipment from the configurator, which marks every item standard or not per version, and the brochure's equipment table (3 Jul 2026); the two agree. Hill-start assist is AMT only on both trims; the electronic stability program is one of the brochure's '17 standard safety features' and Renault's configurator lists ESP as standard on all four versions, so stability control is credited on all of them (29 Oct 2026). Six airbags are Climber only. Not credited, each because Renault says less than our entry needs: the Climber's reversing camera, described 'with guidelines' but not moving ones; and smartphone mirroring, which Renault does not describe as wireless. Both trims run steel wheels with full covers (dual-tone styled on the Climber), which count as wheel covers. Renault prints 69 PS and 92.5 Nm from 999 cc and publishes no certified fuel efficiency, so none is stored.
