Each block is one trim level. The cheapest powertrain at that trim is the baseline; every other is shown as what it costs over it.

Honda City powertrains: common questions
- How many powertrains is the Honda City sold with?
- 3: Petrol manual, Petrol CVT, Hybrid CVT. The cheapest way into the range is the SV 1.5 Petrol MT at ₹11,99,900 ex-showroom, and the dearest entry point is the ZX+ e:HEV Strong Hybrid e-CVT at ₹21,35,800.
- On the Honda City, does changing powertrain change the equipment?
- Yes on the V. Going from the V 1.5 Petrol MT to the V 1.5 Petrol CVT adds Steering Mounted Paddle Shifters, which we value at ₹9,000 against a price gap of ₹1,00,000.
- What mileage does each Honda City powertrain claim?
- Petrol manual: 17.77 kmpl; Petrol CVT: 17.97 kmpl; Hybrid CVT: 27.26 kmpl. These are the manufacturer's certified figures, not our own, and CNG is certified per kilogram rather than per litre — the two numbers are not comparable directly.
What this car's data leaves out
Every trim and both gearboxes Honda prices, plus the e:HEV strong hybrid. We do not credit the tyre-pressure system, the LaneWatch camera or the eight-speaker audio — see the data notes for why.
Data notes — where these figures come from
EXCLUSIONS: none — all 8 priced variants are here. UNDER-CREDITED, each because Honda's own wording is narrower than the registry entry: tpms_highline is not credited, because Honda fits a Deflation Warning System (indirect) and lists a direct, Honda Connect-linked TPMS only as a dealer-fit option; bose_premium_sound is not credited, because the 4+4 speaker-and-tweeter system carries no audio brand; connected_led_taillamps is not credited, because Honda describes the tail lamps as wrap-around rather than connected (the connected light bar is at the front, on ZX+); rear_seat_split_6040 appears nowhere in Honda's matrix; front parking sensors are not fitted on any trim. ZX+ carries BOTH the 360-degree camera and the reversing camera. Honda's matrix shows a dash against the multi-angle rear camera on ZX+, which is supersession rather than absence — no 360 system works without a rear view, and 109 variants across 15 other cars credit both. Paddle shifters are credited on the CVTs only, which is Honda's own '(CVT only)' qualifier. The e:HEV additionally gets four-wheel discs and an electronic parking brake with auto hold, both marked '(e:HEV only)'. The hybrid is laddered on its own: fuelType 'hybrid' keeps it out of the petrol CVT run, so the site never scores the ₹4,00,100 step to it as equipment. BLIND SPOT (11 Oct 2026): LaneWatch, the left-mirror camera Honda marks on ZX and ZX+ (the e:HEV shares the ZX+ column), now earns blind_spot_monitor, whose registry entry includes 'a camera view of the lane you are pulling into' — the reading the Elevate has carried since 7 Oct. It was under-credited here until this pass. REVERSING CAMERA (re-read 29 Oct 2026): the maker describes the camera without saying its guidelines move with the steering, so the camera entry (moving guidelines) is not credited.
