Nissan Tekton powertrains: common questions
- How many powertrains is the Nissan Tekton sold with?
- 3: 1.0 Turbo · Petrol manual, 1.3 Turbo · Petrol manual, Petrol DCT. The cheapest way into the range is the Visia 1.0 Turbo Petrol MT at ₹10,49,000 ex-showroom, and the dearest entry point is the Acenta 1.3 Turbo Petrol DCT at ₹14,99,000.
- On the Nissan Tekton, does changing powertrain change the equipment?
- Yes on the Acenta. Going from the Acenta 1.0 Turbo Petrol MT to the Acenta 1.3 Turbo Petrol DCT adds All 4 Disc Brakes, Cruise Control, Steering Mounted Paddle Shifters, Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold, which we value at ₹47,000 against a price gap of ₹3,20,000.
- What mileage does each Nissan Tekton powertrain claim?
- 1.0 Turbo · Petrol manual: 19.4 kmpl; 1.3 Turbo · Petrol manual: 17.8 kmpl; Petrol DCT: 18.5 kmpl. These are the manufacturer's certified figures, not our own, and CNG is certified per kilogram rather than per litre — the two numbers are not comparable directly.
What this car's data leaves out
Every trim and engine Nissan prices, in plain paint. Left out: the Tekna+'s dual-tone paint options and dealer-fitted accessory packs.
Data notes — where these figures come from
Prices from Nissan's own price list (read 28 Oct 2026), the same twelve figures as the variant table in its launch release of 9 July 2026 and its online configurator. Nissan calls them special introductory ex-showroom prices, names no end date and names no city. The Tekna+ is also sold in five dual-tone paints; Nissan's list carries one price per version, which is stored. The Crimson Edge Performance Pack (T280 N-Connecta) is a Nissan Genuine Accessory and is not modelled. Equipment from the maker's brochure (October 2026), which lists Visia, then what Visia+, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna+ each add; the maker's model page confirms that reading. Its per-cell footnotes are followed per version: cruise control is DCT-only on the Acenta and standard from the N-Connecta; the electronic parking brake comes with auto hold only on the DCT (the Tekna manuals have the parking brake without auto hold, so it is not credited there); rear discs are on every DCT and on the Tekna and Tekna+ manuals; paddle shifters, the cooled wireless charger and hill descent control are DCT-only. Adaptive cruise with stop and go is DCT-only, so Level 2 ADAS is credited on the Tekna and Tekna+ DCT and not on their manuals, which keep the rest of the suite (blind-spot warning and front parking assist are credited on them). The Visia+'s 9-inch touchscreen and rear camera are a Nissan-approved supplier unit with the supplier's one-year warranty; they are in the Visia+ price and are credited. Where Nissan's own pages disagree we under-credit: the brochure gives the Visia+ steering-mounted cluster controls while the model page says audio controls, and the configurator lists steering audio controls on the Visia, which the brochure gives no head unit at all, so steering controls are credited from the Acenta, and the Visia's four speakers earn no audio-system credit. The Visia and Visia+ have central locking and a folding key, but a remote is not stated, so remote locking is not credited. Not credited, each because Nissan says less than our entry needs: the Arkamys 6-speaker system (no amplifier or subwoofer stated), the N-Connecta's semi-leatherette seats, and the Visia's 17-inch steel wheels with hub caps. The 10.1-inch screen sits at our 9-inch level and the 6-way electric front seats at the 4-way level; the Tekna+ powers the passenger seat too. The 48-colour mood lighting runs across the screens, dashboard and doors per the launch release, so it earns ambient lighting from the Tekna. Nissan prints the engines in PS: 100 PS and 166 Nm for the 1.0 T160, 163 PS and 280 Nm for the 1.3 T280. Certified efficiency is Nissan's ARAI figure: 19.4 kmpl (T160 manual), 17.8 kmpl (T280 manual) and 18.5 kmpl (T280 DCT). ROOF RAILS (29 Oct 2026): the maker lists roof rails and does not describe them as a garnish or styling element, so they are credited under the same rule as every other car; no load rating is published.
