Nissan Tekton

The upgrade our valuation covers best is N-Connecta → Tekna on the Petrol DCT: ₹1,30,000 buys ₹1,92,000 of equipment — 147% of the price rise, so the kit alone covers what it costs.

Nissan's mid-size SUV, launched in India on 9 July 2026 and built at the Chennai plant on the platform it shares with the Renault Duster. A 1.0-litre turbo petrol (T160, manual) and a 1.3-litre turbo petrol (T280, manual or DCT), across Visia, Visia+, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna+.

Which variant to buy

Where the money buys the most equipment, and where it buys the least

One variant on the Nissan Tekton is covered outright by the kit it adds. Another is mostly paying for something else. Both are computed from the same feature valuations, not chosen by hand.

This is not a recommendation of a trim — it is the variant whose price rise our tracked equipment best explains, and the one it explains worst. A feature you will never use is worth nothing to you, whatever we value it at. Every upgrade, in order.

Nissan Tekton: questions buyers ask

Which Nissan Tekton variant is the best value?

N-Connecta 1.3 Turbo Petrol DCT to Tekna 1.3 Turbo Petrol DCT costs ₹1,30,000, and the equipment it adds is worth ₹1,92,000 — 147% of the price rise. That is the variant upgrade where equipment explains the most of what you pay. The kit alone covers what the variant costs extra. The figure is computed from the feature difference, not chosen.

Which Nissan Tekton variant gives back the least?

Tekna 1.0 Turbo Petrol MT to Tekna+ 1.0 Turbo Petrol MT costs ₹1,10,000, and the equipment it adds is worth ₹43,000 — 39% of the price rise. The rest of that money goes on things we do not itemise — materials, fit and finish, and the manufacturer's own margin.

How many variants does the Nissan Tekton have?

12, across 3 powertrains, from ₹10,49,000 to ₹18,59,000 ex-showroom. Every trim and engine Nissan prices, in plain paint. Left out: the Tekna+'s dual-tone paint options and dealer-fitted accessory packs.

What is the EMI on the Nissan Tekton?

About ₹20,238 a month for the cheapest variant, Visia 1.0 Turbo Petrol MT: ₹12,25,828 on the road in Delhi, 20% down, and a loan of ₹9,80,662 at 8.75% a year for 5 years. A different rate, tenure or down payment changes it — the EMI calculator works it out for your own figures.

What are the Nissan Tekton's dimensions, boot space and ground clearance?

It is 4,349 mm long, 1,815 mm wide and 1,674 mm tall, on a 2,657 mm wheelbase. Boot space is 518 litres. Ground clearance is 212 mm. The fuel tank holds 50 litres. These are Nissan's own figures.

When was the Nissan Tekton launched?

The Nissan Tekton on sale now, the first generation, was launched in India in Jul 2026. It has not been facelifted since.

Is a new Nissan Tekton or a facelift coming?

Nissan has announced nothing, and we found no credible reports of one as of 1 Nov 2026.

What colours does the Nissan Tekton come in?

Nissan lists 6 colours: Pearl White, Blade Silver, Onyx Black, Flare Garnet Red, Indigo Blue, Moonbow Gray. Not every colour is offered on every variant.

What is the Nissan Tekton's safety rating?

Bharat NCAP (Jul 2026): 5 stars for adult occupant protection and 5 stars for child occupant protection (30.49/32 and 45.00/49 points).

What is the on-road price of the Nissan Tekton?

The cheapest variant, Visia 1.0 Turbo Petrol MT, comes to about ₹12,25,828 on road in Delhi — ₹10,49,000 ex-showroom plus road tax, insurance, registration and TCS where it applies. Road tax is set by the state, so the total moves by a lakh or more between them.

How we checked these figures

Data notes — where these figures come from

Prices from Nissan's own price list (read 28 Oct 2026), the same twelve figures as the variant table in its launch release of 9 July 2026 and its online configurator. Nissan calls them special introductory ex-showroom prices, names no end date and names no city. The Tekna+ is also sold in five dual-tone paints; Nissan's list carries one price per version, which is stored. The Crimson Edge Performance Pack (T280 N-Connecta) is a Nissan Genuine Accessory and is not modelled. Equipment from the maker's brochure (October 2026), which lists Visia, then what Visia+, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna+ each add; the maker's model page confirms that reading. Its per-cell footnotes are followed per version: cruise control is DCT-only on the Acenta and standard from the N-Connecta; the electronic parking brake comes with auto hold only on the DCT (the Tekna manuals have the parking brake without auto hold, so it is not credited there); rear discs are on every DCT and on the Tekna and Tekna+ manuals; paddle shifters, the cooled wireless charger and hill descent control are DCT-only. Adaptive cruise with stop and go is DCT-only, so Level 2 ADAS is credited on the Tekna and Tekna+ DCT and not on their manuals, which keep the rest of the suite (blind-spot warning and front parking assist are credited on them). The Visia+'s 9-inch touchscreen and rear camera are a Nissan-approved supplier unit with the supplier's one-year warranty; they are in the Visia+ price and are credited. Where Nissan's own pages disagree we under-credit: the brochure gives the Visia+ steering-mounted cluster controls while the model page says audio controls, and the configurator lists steering audio controls on the Visia, which the brochure gives no head unit at all, so steering controls are credited from the Acenta, and the Visia's four speakers earn no audio-system credit. The Visia and Visia+ have central locking and a folding key, but a remote is not stated, so remote locking is not credited. Not credited, each because Nissan says less than our entry needs: the Arkamys 6-speaker system (no amplifier or subwoofer stated), the N-Connecta's semi-leatherette seats, and the Visia's 17-inch steel wheels with hub caps. The 10.1-inch screen sits at our 9-inch level and the 6-way electric front seats at the 4-way level; the Tekna+ powers the passenger seat too. The 48-colour mood lighting runs across the screens, dashboard and doors per the launch release, so it earns ambient lighting from the Tekna. Nissan prints the engines in PS: 100 PS and 166 Nm for the 1.0 T160, 163 PS and 280 Nm for the 1.3 T280. Certified efficiency is Nissan's ARAI figure: 19.4 kmpl (T160 manual), 17.8 kmpl (T280 manual) and 18.5 kmpl (T280 DCT). ROOF RAILS (29 Oct 2026): the maker lists roof rails and does not describe them as a garnish or styling element, so they are credited under the same rule as every other car; no load rating is published.
