Toyota Innova Crysta

No upgrade on the Toyota Innova Crysta is covered by the equipment it adds. The closest is VX → ZX: ₹1,72,000 buys ₹63,125 of equipment — 36% of the price rise.

Toyota's body-on-frame Innova, still sold beside the Hycross: one 2.4 diesel with a five-speed manual, in GX, GX+, VX and ZX grades, as a seven- or eight-seater.

Which variant to buy

Where the money buys the most equipment, and where it buys the least

No variant on the Toyota Innova Crysta is covered outright by the equipment it adds — the best of them reaches 36%. Here is that variant and the weakest one, both computed from the same feature valuations.

This is not a recommendation of a trim — it is the variant whose price rise our tracked equipment best explains, and the one it explains worst. A feature you will never use is worth nothing to you, whatever we value it at. Every upgrade, in order.

Toyota Innova Crysta: questions buyers ask

Which Toyota Innova Crysta variant is the best value?

VX 2.4 Diesel MT to ZX 2.4 Diesel MT costs ₹1,72,000, and the equipment it adds is worth ₹63,125 — 36% of the price rise. That is the variant upgrade where equipment explains the most of what you pay. No variant on this car is covered outright by the equipment it adds, so this is the closest it gets. The figure is computed from the feature difference, not chosen.

Which Toyota Innova Crysta variant gives back the least?

GX 2.4 Diesel MT to GX+ 2.4 Diesel MT costs ₹1,46,000, and it changes no equipment we track. The rest of that money goes on things we do not itemise — materials, fit and finish, and the manufacturer's own margin.

How many variants does the Toyota Innova Crysta have?

4, across 1 powertrain, from ₹19,95,000 to ₹26,96,000 ex-showroom. The four retail grades - GX, GX+, VX and ZX - each as the seven-seater. What is the EMI on the Toyota Innova Crysta?

About ₹39,207 a month for the cheapest variant, GX 2.4 Diesel MT: ₹23,74,766 on the road in Delhi, 20% down, and a loan of ₹18,99,813 at 8.75% a year for 5 years. A different rate, tenure or down payment changes it — the EMI calculator works it out for your own figures.

When was the Toyota Innova Crysta launched?

The Toyota Innova Crysta on sale now, the Innova Crysta, was launched in India in May 2016. It was last facelifted in Jun 2026: New grille and bumper garnishes, new dual-tone upholstery and interior trim, wireless charger and tyre pressure monitoring; 2.4 diesel manual unchanged.

How we checked these figures

Data notes — where these figures come from

SEATS: GX, GX+ and VX are sold as seven- and eight-seaters at Rs 5,000 apart; the ZX is seven-seat only, so every variant here is the seven-seater. The brochure gives the two layouts the same equipment. AIRBAGS: GX and GX+ carry three (driver, passenger, driver knee); VX and ZX seven. The six-airbag entry is credited from the VX. GX+ IS A SMALL STEP, measured: over the GX it adds a back monitor 'With DVR', chrome door handles and side mould, a leather-wrapped gear knob, wood-finish door garnish, retractable mirrors and premium fabric. None of those is a registry item at the level stated - the back monitor has no stated guidelines (the Bolero Neo call, applied to the VX and ZX too), and 'DVR' beside a reversing camera does not say it records the road ahead, which is what the dashcam entry prices - so GX -> GX+ reports nothing we track. The GX+'s front fog-lamp cell reads 'X With Silver Garnish': a garnish, not a lamp. SCREEN: Toyota's matrix calls it 'Display Audio, Capacitive Touch Screen' with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and gives no size, so it is credited at the lowest touchscreen rung (7-inch) on GX, GX+, VX and ZX alike. Uniform, so no step moves. NOT CREDITED, each because the matrix has no row: rear AC, rear power windows, steering-mounted controls and a rear defogger/wiper - all fitted to an Innova, none stated, and uniform across the four grades. 'Indirect Blue Ambient Illumination' (VX, ZX) does not say where it lights, the Hycross call. The VX/ZX 'TFT MID' is unsized, so it earns no cluster rung. 'Electric Adjust & Retract' mirrors are not stated to fold on locking. The ZX's 8-way power seat earns the 8-way entry; no memory is stated. The ZX's 'Leather' is genuine-and-synthetic per Toyota's footnote and earns the leatherette entry. WIRELESS ANDROID AUTO (9 Oct 2026): not credited on any variant. Toyota's spec sheet marks 'Android Auto / Apple CarPlay' without saying wireless.
