Across every car we track

Trim by trim

Each block is one trim level. The cheapest powertrain at that trim is the baseline; every other is shown as what it costs over it.

No trim on this car is offered on more than one powertrain, so there is no like-for-like choice to compare.

Toyota Innova Hycross powertrains: common questions

How many powertrains is the Toyota Innova Hycross sold with?
2: Petrol CVT, Hybrid CVT. The cheapest way into the range is the GX 2.0 Petrol CVT at ₹19,53,000 ex-showroom, and the dearest entry point is the VX 2.0 Strong Hybrid e-CVT at ₹26,76,000.
What mileage does each Toyota Innova Hycross powertrain claim?
Petrol CVT: 16.13 kmpl; Hybrid CVT: 22.16 kmpl. These are the manufacturer's certified figures, not our own, and CNG is certified per kilogram rather than per litre — the two numbers are not comparable directly.

What this car's data leaves out

Every retail grade Toyota prices - GX and GX(O) petrol, VX, VX(O), ZX and ZX(O) strong hybrid - each as the seven-seater. Left out: the eight-seater versions, the fleet-only G-SLF with its 80 km/h speed limiter, and the ZX(O) LE limited edition.

Data notes — where these figures come from

SEATS: every grade below ZX is sold as a seven- and an eight-seater, and every variant here is the seven-seater, because the ZX and ZX(O) come in no other form. On the GX(O) the choice is not only seats: Toyota marks the 10.1-inch screen, wireless CarPlay and the rear sunshades '(7 Seater)' and gives the eight-seater the 8-inch screen instead, which is why the GX(O) 7-seater (Rs 20,97,000) costs Rs 13,000 more than the 8-seater (Rs 20,84,000). The 7-seater price is the one held. STRONG HYBRID = fuelType hybrid. The petrol grades use a CVT too ('Direct Shift CVT'), so transmission alone cannot separate the two powertrains the way it does on the Hyryder and Grand Vitara (6AT against e-Drive). Stored as petrol, GX(O) -> VX would be one ladder and the site would score a hybrid system as equipment. This is the Honda City e:HEV's disposition and reason. SCREENS: the 10.1-inch (25.65 cm) display sits at the 9-inch rung, below the registry's 10.25-inch entry - the Slavia call. The hybrid's 17.8 cm TFT information display earns the 7-inch cluster rung (the Hyryder call); the petrol's 10.7 cm MID earns nothing. HEADLAMPS: ZX and ZX(O) carry 'Dual Function Daytime Running Lamp [DRL + Turn]' and earn the full LED-with-DRL entry. VX and VX(O) have Tri-Eye LED projectors with an LED position lamp and no DRL row, so they sit on the projector rung. The GX grades' 'Dual LED' units name neither a projector nor a DRL, so they are credited no headlamp rung - an under-credit. CAMERAS: the GX has a reverse parking camera with no stated guidelines and is not credited (the Bolero Neo and Aura call). From the GX(O) up, Toyota's 'Panoramic View Monitor with Dynamic Back Guide' earns both the 360-degree and the guided rear-camera entries, as the XL6 does. The GX also has NO parking sensors at all ('X' in Toyota's own front-and-reverse row). ADAS: only the ZX(O) has Toyota Safety Sense (Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Trace Assist, Blind Spot Monitor, Pre-Collision), which earns the Level 2 entry and the blind-spot monitor. NOT CREDITED: 'Indirect Blue Ambient Illumination' (VX up) does not say where it lights, and the registry entry is dashboard-and-door lighting - the Elevate footwell call. No front centre armrest row exists, only a centre console with cupholders. The rear centre armrest is an eight-seater item. The 60:40 second row is the eight-seater's; the seven-seater has captain seats. The 8-inch-screen VX has wired CarPlay; wireless is VX(O) up. The rear washer and wiper are on every grade but the demister only from GX(O), so the GX holds neither rung of the rear-screen ladder. The ZX's 'Automatic Climate Control w/ Pollution Filter' is a filter, not the cabin purifier the registry prices. Powered ottoman second-row seats (ZX, ZX(O)), the power back door and acoustic glass have no registry entry. NOT credited for want of a reading: GX(O) 2.0 Petrol CVT.
