Renault Kiger powertrains: common questions
- How many powertrains is the Renault Kiger sold with?
- 4: 1.0 · Petrol manual, 1.0 · Petrol AMT, 1.0 Turbo · Petrol manual, 1.0 Turbo · Petrol CVT. The cheapest way into the range is the Authentic 1.0 Petrol MT at ₹5,81,000 ex-showroom, and the dearest entry point is the Techno 1.0 Turbo Petrol CVT at ₹9,40,000.
- On the Renault Kiger, does changing powertrain change the equipment?
- Not on the Evolution, which is sold as both the Evolution 1.0 Petrol MT and the Evolution 1.0 Petrol AMT with identical equipment. The ₹44,000 between them buys the powertrain and nothing else.
What this car's data leaves out
Every trim and engine Renault prices. Left out: the dual-tone paint versions and the dealer-fitted CNG kit.
Data notes — where these figures come from
Prices from Renault's own configurator price list (document BAE5, applicable 21 Aug 2026), ex-showroom Delhi, plain paint; the dual-tone versions are the same price with a black roof and are not modelled. Renault's CNG kit is a dealer retrofit, not a factory variant, so it is not modelled either. Equipment from Renault's configurator, which marks every item standard or not per version, checked against the brochure's trim walk (June 2026). The 'voyage' steel wheel covers (Authentic to Evolution+) and the Techno's 'discover' flex wheels count as wheel covers. The Techno's roof bars carry 50 kg and earn roof rails; the satin silver rails below Techno have no stated load. The rear defogger arrives only on the Emotion, so the Techno's rear wiper alone earns nothing. The 8-inch touchscreen starts at the Evolution, and the Authentic is credited no audio. Renault prints the engines in PS: 72 PS and 96 Nm, and 100 PS with 160 Nm (manual) or 152 Nm (CVT); the 999 cc is Renault's figure for the same Energy and TCe 100 engines in the Triber. Renault publishes no certified fuel efficiency in the brochure, so none is stored. Not credited, each because Renault says less than our entry needs: the reversing camera (Evolution up), because Renault does not say its guidelines move; the Emotion's multi-view camera, which Renault does not describe as a surround view; the TPMS, whose type is not stated; the ambient lighting, whose extent is not stated; and the mirrors' electric adjustment, which the configurator gives the Evolution trims and not the dearer Techno and Emotion (which have power or auto folding instead), so it is credited on none. 29 Oct 2026: the June 2026 brochure (p.6) says 'the doors unlock automatically as you approach with the hands-free card', and the smart access card (from Evolution+, p.12) is the Kiger's only card, so those variants are credited smart keyless entry with push-button start.
