Renault Kiger

The upgrade our valuation covers best is Techno → Emotion on the 1.0 petrol manual: ₹90,000 buys ₹1,16,840 of equipment — 129% of the price rise, so the kit alone covers what it costs.

Renault's sub-four-metre SUV, facelifted in August 2025. A 1.0-litre petrol with a manual or AMT, and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol (TCe 100) with a manual or CVT, across Authentic, Evolution, Evolution+, Techno and Emotion.

Which variant to buy

Where the money buys the most equipment, and where it buys the least

One variant on the Renault Kiger is covered outright by the kit it adds. Another is mostly paying for something else. Both are computed from the same feature valuations, not chosen by hand.

This is not a recommendation of a trim — it is the variant whose price rise our tracked equipment best explains, and the one it explains worst. A feature you will never use is worth nothing to you, whatever we value it at. Every upgrade, in order.

Renault Kiger: questions buyers ask

Which Renault Kiger variant is the best value?

Techno 1.0 Petrol MT to Emotion 1.0 Petrol MT costs ₹90,000, and the equipment it adds is worth ₹1,16,840 — 129% of the price rise. That is the variant upgrade where equipment explains the most of what you pay. The kit alone covers what the variant costs extra. The figure is computed from the feature difference, not chosen.

Which Renault Kiger variant gives back the least?

Authentic 1.0 Petrol MT to Evolution 1.0 Petrol MT costs ₹78,000, and the equipment it adds is worth ₹26,680 — 34% of the price rise. The rest of that money goes on things we do not itemise — materials, fit and finish, and the manufacturer's own margin.

How many variants does the Renault Kiger have?

13, across 4 powertrains, from ₹5,81,000 to ₹10,40,000 ex-showroom. Every trim and engine Renault prices. Left out: the dual-tone paint versions and the dealer-fitted CNG kit.

What is the EMI on the Renault Kiger?

About ₹10,557 a month for the cheapest variant, Authentic 1.0 Petrol MT: ₹6,39,436 on the road in Delhi, 20% down, and a loan of ₹5,11,549 at 8.75% a year for 5 years. A different rate, tenure or down payment changes it — the EMI calculator works it out for your own figures.

What are the Renault Kiger's dimensions, boot space and ground clearance?

Boot space is 405 litres. Ground clearance is 205 mm. The fuel tank holds 40 litres. These are Renault's own figures.

When was the Renault Kiger launched?

The Renault Kiger on sale now, the first generation, was launched in India in Feb 2021. It was last facelifted in Aug 2025: Facelift with a new front end, a 10-slat grille and Renault's new logo; ventilated front seats and cruise control on the top trims.

Is a new Renault Kiger or a facelift coming?

Renault has announced nothing, and we found no credible reports of one as of 1 Nov 2026.

What colours does the Renault Kiger come in?

Renault lists 7 colours: Ice Cool White, Stealth Black, Moonlight Silver, Shadow Grey, Caspian Blue, Oasis Yellow, Outback Bronze. Not every colour is offered on every variant.

What is the Renault Kiger's safety rating?

There is no Bharat NCAP or Global NCAP rating for the Renault Kiger as it is sold now. The published results are for an earlier version or an older test protocol.

What is the on-road price of the Renault Kiger?

The cheapest variant, Authentic 1.0 Petrol MT, comes to about ₹6,39,436 on road in Delhi — ₹5,81,000 ex-showroom plus road tax, insurance, registration and TCS where it applies. Road tax is set by the state, so the total moves by a lakh or more between them.

How we checked these figures

Data notes — where these figures come from

Prices from Renault's own configurator price list (document BAE5, applicable 21 Aug 2026), ex-showroom Delhi, plain paint; the dual-tone versions are the same price with a black roof and are not modelled. Renault's CNG kit is a dealer retrofit, not a factory variant, so it is not modelled either. Equipment from Renault's configurator, which marks every item standard or not per version, checked against the brochure's trim walk (June 2026). The 'voyage' steel wheel covers (Authentic to Evolution+) and the Techno's 'discover' flex wheels count as wheel covers. The Techno's roof bars carry 50 kg and earn roof rails; the satin silver rails below Techno have no stated load. The rear defogger arrives only on the Emotion, so the Techno's rear wiper alone earns nothing. The 8-inch touchscreen starts at the Evolution, and the Authentic is credited no audio. Renault prints the engines in PS: 72 PS and 96 Nm, and 100 PS with 160 Nm (manual) or 152 Nm (CVT); the 999 cc is Renault's figure for the same Energy and TCe 100 engines in the Triber. Renault publishes no certified fuel efficiency in the brochure, so none is stored. Not credited, each because Renault says less than our entry needs: the reversing camera (Evolution up), because Renault does not say its guidelines move; the Emotion's multi-view camera, which Renault does not describe as a surround view; the TPMS, whose type is not stated; the ambient lighting, whose extent is not stated; and the mirrors' electric adjustment, which the configurator gives the Evolution trims and not the dearer Techno and Emotion (which have power or auto folding instead), so it is credited on none. 29 Oct 2026: the June 2026 brochure (p.6) says 'the doors unlock automatically as you approach with the hands-free card', and the smart access card (from Evolution+, p.12) is the Kiger's only card, so those variants are credited smart keyless entry with push-button start.
