Tata Tigor EV

The upgrade our valuation covers best is XT → XZ+: ₹50,000 buys ₹55,675 of equipment — 111% of the price rise, so the kit alone covers what it costs.

Tata's electric compact sedan with a 26 kWh battery, still sold from the Tata.ev range after the petrol Tigor gave way to the Aeris.

Which variant to buy

Where the money buys the most equipment, and where it buys the least

One variant on the Tata Tigor EV is covered outright by the kit it adds. Another is mostly paying for something else. Both are computed from the same feature valuations, not chosen by hand.

This is not a recommendation of a trim — it is the variant whose price rise our tracked equipment best explains, and the one it explains worst. A feature you will never use is worth nothing to you, whatever we value it at. Every upgrade, in order.

Tata Tigor EV: questions buyers ask

Which Tata Tigor EV variant is the best value?

XT 26 kWh to XZ+ 26 kWh costs ₹50,000, and the equipment it adds is worth ₹55,675 — 111% of the price rise. That is the variant upgrade where equipment explains the most of what you pay. The kit alone covers what the variant costs extra. The figure is computed from the feature difference, not chosen.

Which Tata Tigor EV variant gives back the least?

XZ+ 26 kWh to XZ+ Lux 26 kWh costs ₹26,000, and the equipment it adds is worth ₹13,600 — 52% of the price rise. The rest of that money goes on things we do not itemise — materials, fit and finish, and the manufacturer's own margin.

How many variants does the Tata Tigor EV have?

4, across 1 powertrain, from ₹12,49,000 to ₹13,75,000 ex-showroom. Covers all four variants; nothing is left out.

What is the EMI on the Tata Tigor EV?

What are the Tata Tigor EV's dimensions, boot space and ground clearance?

It is 3,993 mm long, 1,677 mm wide and 1,532 mm tall, on a 2,450 mm wheelbase. Boot space is 316 litres. We hold no ground clearance figure from Tata Motors's own documents. These are Tata Motors's own figures.

The Tata Tigor EV on sale now, the first generation, was launched in India in Aug 2021. It has not been facelifted since.

How we checked these figures

Data notes — where these figures come from

Built 11 Oct 2026. Tata still sells the Tigor.ev; there is no electric Aeris (/aeris/ev.html 404s). Walk: XT over XE, XZ+ over XT, XZ+ Lux over XZ+. RANGE: 315 km — the brochure prints 'ARAI Certified Full Charge Range' and Tata's model page footnotes it 'As per MIDC Range' without naming the part, so it is stored as MIDC. MOTOR: 55 kW, 170 Nm. CHARGER: a 3.3 kW AC charger is listed as standard. 🔴 SMARTPHONE PROJECTION: the brochure gives Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to the XT; Tata's own price-page walk lists them under 'XZ+ in addition to XT'. Not a registry feature unless wireless, which neither says, so nothing is credited either way. MAPPING: the XT's 'Remote Central Lock: Flip Key' earns remote locking, replaced by the smart key on XZ+; the XT's steel wheel covers and the XZ+'s 'Hyperstyle' wheels both sit at the wheel-cover rung (the XE's hub caps earn none); 'Striking Projector Head Lamps' are not stated LED and earn no headlamp rung; fog lamps are not stated LED. NOT CREDITED: iTPMS (indirect); ESC (only ABS with EBD and corner stability control is listed); the digital instrument cluster, whose size is not stated.
