MG Hector Tomahawk EV

The upgrade our valuation covers best is Exclusive 7S → Essence 7S: ₹1,50,000 buys ₹1,58,125 of equipment — 105% of the price rise, so the kit alone covers what it costs.

MG's electric three-row SUV, built on the Hector, with a 69.2 kWh LFP battery and seven seats. A separate car from the petrol Hector, as MG prices and files it.

Which variant to buy

Where the money buys the most equipment, and where it buys the least

One variant on the MG Hector Tomahawk EV is covered outright by the kit it adds. Another is mostly paying for something else. Both are computed from the same feature valuations, not chosen by hand.

This is not a recommendation of a trim — it is the variant whose price rise our tracked equipment best explains, and the one it explains worst. A feature you will never use is worth nothing to you, whatever we value it at. Every upgrade, in order.

How we checked these figures

Data notes — where these figures come from

Built 11 Oct 2026 from MG's brochure, a three-column Excite / Exclusive / Essence matrix in which a blank cell means present and '-' absent — read by each mark's own column position. SEATS: the Essence is also sold as a five-seater at ₹22,99,800, ₹50,000 below the seven-seat Essence; a seat count is not equipment, so it is left out rather than laddered. RANGE: 517 km, MIDC Part 1 + Part 2. MOTOR: 150 kW, 310 Nm, front-wheel drive. CHARGER: a 7.4 kW AC fast charger 'with standard installation' and a 3.3 kW portable cable are listed on all three. MAPPING: the 32.5 cm (12.8-inch) and 39.6 cm (15.6-inch) touchscreens both sit at the 12.3-inch rung; the 8.8-inch MID at the 7-inch cluster rung; the 6-way powered driver's seat at the 4-way rung and the 4-way powered co-driver's seat at power_codriver_seat; 'Beacon LED projector headlamps' at the projector rung; leather is MG's 'man-made leather'. The Essence's adaptive cruise is what earns Level 2 ADAS; the Excite and Exclusive carry plain cruise. NOT CREDITED: automatic climate control, which the matrix never states; the PM2.5 filter, a filter rather than a purifier (the e Vitara call); driver's seat height adjustment, not stated; front fog lamps (only a rear fog lamp is listed). V2L, V2V and V2H are not registry features. REVERSING CAMERA (re-read 29 Oct 2026): the maker describes the camera without saying its guidelines move with the steering, so the camera entry (moving guidelines) is not credited.
