Kia Carens Clavis EV
The upgrade our valuation covers best is HTX E → HTX on the 51.4 kWh electric: ₹50,000 buys ₹1,08,300 of equipment — 216% of the price rise, so the kit alone covers what it costs.
Kia's electric Carens Clavis, a six- or seven-seat MPV with a 42 kWh or a 51.4 kWh Extended Range battery. A separate car from the petrol, diesel and CNG Clavis, as Kia prices and files it.

*Ex-showroom, Delhi · Prices checked Oct 2026
All 8 variants across 2 powertrains, priced from 42 kwh · electric upwards. Covers all eight trims across both batteries; the X-Line edition is left out, and the six-seat captain-chair versions (same price as the seven-seaters) are not modelled separately.
Also sold with an engine: the Carens Clavis, which has its own variants and prices. We list the two separately because a battery and an engine cannot be compared as equipment. Carens Clavis EV prices here do not include a home charger, which Kia sells separately.

Kia Carens Clavis EV: questions buyers ask
Which Kia Carens Clavis EV variant is the best value?
HTX E 51.4 kWh to HTX 51.4 kWh costs ₹50,000, and the equipment it adds is worth ₹1,08,300 — 216% of the price rise. That is the variant upgrade where equipment explains the most of what you pay. The kit alone covers what the variant costs extra. The figure is computed from the feature difference, not chosen.
Which Kia Carens Clavis EV variant gives back the least?
HTX 51.4 kWh to GTX 51.4 kWh costs ₹50,000, and it changes no equipment we track. The rest of that money goes on things we do not itemise — materials, fit and finish, and the manufacturer's own margin.
How many variants does the Kia Carens Clavis EV have?
8, across 2 powertrains, from ₹18,03,900 to ₹24,99,900 ex-showroom. Covers all eight trims across both batteries; the X-Line edition is left out, and the six-seat captain-chair versions (same price as the seven-seaters) are not modelled separately.
What is the EMI on the Kia Carens Clavis EV?
About ₹31,730 a month for the cheapest variant, HTK+ 42 kWh: ₹19,21,881 on the road in Delhi, 20% down, and a loan of ₹15,37,505 at 8.75% a year for 5 years. A different rate, tenure or down payment changes it — the EMI calculator works it out for your own figures.
What are the Kia Carens Clavis EV's dimensions, boot space and ground clearance?
It is 4,550 mm long, 1,800 mm wide and 1,730 mm tall, on a 2,780 mm wheelbase. We hold no ground clearance figure from Kia's own documents. These are Kia's own figures.
When was the Kia Carens Clavis EV launched?
The Kia Carens Clavis EV on sale now, the first generation, was launched in India in Jul 2025. It has not been facelifted since.
Is a new Kia Carens Clavis EV or a facelift coming?
Kia has announced nothing, and we found no credible reports of one as of 1 Nov 2026.
What colours does the Kia Carens Clavis EV come in?
Kia lists 6 colours: Ivory Silver Matte, Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Gray. Not every colour is offered on every variant.
What is the Kia Carens Clavis EV's safety rating?
The current Kia Carens Clavis EV has not been crash-tested by Bharat NCAP or Global NCAP yet.
What is the on-road price of the Kia Carens Clavis EV?
The cheapest variant, HTK+ 42 kWh, comes to about ₹19,21,881 on road in Delhi — ₹18,03,900 ex-showroom plus road tax, insurance, registration and TCS where it applies. Road tax is set by the state, so the total moves by a lakh or more between them.
How we checked these figures
Data notes — where these figures come from
Built 11 Oct 2026 from Kia's July 2026 brochure, a persona walk rather than a tick matrix: HTX E over HTK+, HTX over HTX E, HTX E ER over HTX E (NOT over HTX — so the dearer HTX E ER has no ADAS), HTX ER over HTX, GTX ER and HTX+ ER both over HTX ER (parallel lines: GTX is the styling line), GTX+ ER over HTX+ ER. RANGE: 404 km (42 kWh) and 490 km (51.4 kWh), 'as per MIDC Part 1 + Part 2 Cycle'. MOTOR: 99 / 126 kW, 255 Nm on both. CHARGER: no wall box; a 3.3 kW portable cable is included and the 7.4 / 11 kW home charger is optional. SEATS: every trim but HTK+ is sold as a six- or seven-seater at the same price; the seven-seat layout is modelled. LEFT OUT: X-Line ER (₹24,99,900), an appearance edition over GTX+ ER. KIA'S COMPARE PAGE CONTRADICTS THE BROCHURE and the brochure is taken: it puts R17 wheels on the 42 kWh HTX E and HTX (the brochure's tyre table gives 42 kWh cars R16), credits three ADAS rows to HTX E ER (its other 17 ADAS rows agree with the brochure), and lists Smart Cruise Control twice with two patterns. The wireless phone charger is credited from the compare page, because the brochure names it as a highlight without assigning a trim. MAPPING: the 12.25-inch touchscreen at the 12.3-inch rung, as on the petrol Clavis; the 4-way powered driver's seat at power_seat_4way. Regen paddles are not credited as paddle shifters. V2L, the frunk, battery heater and virtual engine sound are not registry features.
