Tata Nexon EV

The upgrade our valuation covers best is Fearless → Empowered on the 45 kWh electric: ₹1,00,000 buys ₹1,33,860 of equipment — 133% of the price rise, so the kit alone covers what it costs.

Tata's electric Nexon, sold from its Tata.ev range with a 30 kWh (medium range) or a 45 kWh battery. A separate car from the petrol and diesel Nexon, as Tata files it.

Which variant to buy

Where the money buys the most equipment, and where it buys the least

One variant on the Tata Nexon EV is covered outright by the kit it adds. Another is mostly paying for something else. Both are computed from the same feature valuations, not chosen by hand.

This is not a recommendation of a trim — it is the variant whose price rise our tracked equipment best explains, and the one it explains worst. A feature you will never use is worth nothing to you, whatever we value it at. Every upgrade, in order.

How we checked these figures

Data notes — where these figures come from

Built 11 Oct 2026 from Tata's September 2026 brochure. Two persona walks: medium range (Creative+ → Fearless) and 45 (Creative → Fearless → Empowered → Empowered+ A), each stated 'in addition to' the trim before. RANGE: 489 km (45) and 275 km (30 kWh MR), both 'certified full charge range as per MIDC Part 1 + Part 2'. BATTERY: the brochure's table reads 45 kWh; Tata's web page states 46.08 kWh for the same pack. Stored as 45, the figure in the variant name. MOTOR: 95 kW (30) and 106 kW (45), 215 Nm both. A 3.3 kW AC wall box comes with every variant; Empowered+ A also lists a 7.2 kW AC fast charger. ADAS is NOT credited on Empowered+ A: its list (TSR, LCS, LDW, LKA, FCW, AEB, HBA) names no adaptive cruise, and the registry entry requires it. JBL on Empowered (audio modes, no subwoofer) does not earn the premium-sound entry; Empowered+ A's JBL Cinematic system with a subwoofer does. Creative 45 lists iTPMS (indirect, not credited); Empowered lists a Tire Pressure Monitoring System and is credited. Empowered's LED projector headlamps sit below the LED-headlamp rung every Nexon EV already holds, so no change is recorded. UNDER-CREDITED, not stated in the walk: steering-mounted controls, hill descent control (the brochure mentions hill ascent and descent control without naming trims), connected tail lamps, wheel covers on Creative+ MR. Regen paddles are not credited as paddle shifters. V2L, V2V and frunk are not registry features. ROOF RAILS (re-read 29 Oct 2026): Tata's owner's manual calls them 'Aesthetic Roof Rail' and says not to load them, so roof rails are not credited.
