Kia Syros
The upgrade our valuation covers best is HTK+(O) → HTX on the Petrol DCT: ₹80,000 buys ₹91,080 of equipment — 113% of the price rise, so the kit alone covers what it costs.

Kia Syros: questions buyers ask
Which Kia Syros variant is the best value?
HTK+(O) 1.0 Turbo Petrol DCT to HTX 1.0 Turbo Petrol DCT costs ₹80,000, and the equipment it adds is worth ₹91,080 — 113% of the price rise. That is the variant upgrade where equipment explains the most of what you pay. The kit alone covers what the variant costs extra. The figure is computed from the feature difference, not chosen.
Which Kia Syros variant gives back the least?
HTK+ 1.5 Diesel AT to HTK+(O) 1.5 Diesel AT costs ₹1,26,000, and the equipment it adds is worth ₹17,480 — 13% of the price rise. The rest of that money goes on things we do not itemise — materials, fit and finish, and the manufacturer's own margin.
How many variants does the Kia Syros have?
17, across 4 powertrains, from ₹8,41,900 to ₹15,81,900 ex-showroom. Every trim and powertrain Kia prices: the 2026 line-up has no X-Line or dual-tone version, so nothing is left out.
What is the EMI on the Kia Syros?
About ₹15,710 a month for the cheapest variant, HTE 1.0 Turbo Petrol MT: ₹9,51,543 on the road in Delhi, 20% down, and a loan of ₹7,61,234 at 8.75% a year for 5 years. A different rate, tenure or down payment changes it — the EMI calculator works it out for your own figures.
What are the Kia Syros's dimensions, boot space and ground clearance?
It is 3,995 mm long, 1,805 mm wide and 1,680 mm tall, on a 2,550 mm wheelbase. Boot space is 390 litres. We hold no ground clearance figure from Kia's own documents. The fuel tank holds 45 litres. These are Kia's own figures.
When was the Kia Syros launched?
The Kia Syros on sale now, the first generation, was launched in India in Feb 2025. It has not been facelifted since.
Is a new Kia Syros or a facelift coming?
Kia has announced nothing, and we found no credible reports of one as of 1 Nov 2026.
What colours does the Kia Syros come in?
Kia lists 9 colours: Frost Blue, Ivory Silver Gloss, Ivory Silver Matte, Gravity Grey, Imperial Blue, Magma Red, Pewter Olive, Glacier White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl. Not every colour is offered on every variant.
What is the Kia Syros's safety rating?
Bharat NCAP (Apr 2025): 5 stars for adult occupant protection and 5 stars for child occupant protection (30.21/32 and 44.42/49 points). The rating covers only some variants. The rating covers the 1.0 turbo petrol only; no 1.5 diesel variant is listed.
What is the on-road price of the Kia Syros?
The cheapest variant, HTE 1.0 Turbo Petrol MT, comes to about ₹9,51,543 on road in Delhi — ₹8,41,900 ex-showroom plus road tax, insurance, registration and TCS where it applies. Road tax is set by the state, so the total moves by a lakh or more between them.
How we checked these figures
Data notes — where these figures come from
Prices from Kia's own price API, ex-showroom New Delhi, read 28 Oct 2026; all 17 match the starting prices on Kia's compare-trims page. Each is ₹2,000 above the MY26 launch list of 20 Apr 2026 (₹8,39,900 base), consistent with Kia's price revision of 1 Jul 2026. The MY26 line-up has no X-Line and is sold in nine monotone colours only, so nothing is excluded. Equipment from Kia's Syros brochure (July 2026, revised October 2026), whose page-7 walk adds each trim to the one before it (HTE, HTE(O), HTK(EX), HTK+, HTK+(O), HTX, HTX(O)) and marks rows 'Automatic Only' or '(MT only)', checked against Kia's compare-trims page. The compare page never qualifies a row by gearbox, so the brochure decides: the smart key with push-button start is automatic-only on HTK+ (its manual keeps the remote key, which the compare page's 'window up/down through remote key' row on HTK+ corroborates) and on every HTK+(O); paddle shifters, the electronic parking brake with auto hold, drive modes with Sand/Mud/Snow traction modes and rear disc brakes are credited to the automatics only. The compare page leaves the HTX's seat rows blank; the brochure gives it dual-tone grey leatherette seats, which are credited. The dashcam is HTX only (brochure: 'not available in HTX (O)'), so HTX(O) does not have it. Rear defogger: stated from HTK+, with the rear wiper and washer from HTK+(O); nothing below HTK+ is credited either. Automatic climate control and the 5-inch climate touchscreen are HTX(O) only; the HTX keeps the manual AC. MAPPING: the 10.25-inch touchscreen earns the 10.25-inch level, the 12.3-inch screen on HTX and HTX(O) the 12.3-inch level; the HTX(O)'s 12.3-inch display cluster earns the full digital cluster, while every other trim's segment LCD with a 4.2-inch colour MID sits below our lowest cluster level; Harman Kardon 8 speakers earns premium sound; 'Rear Ventilated Seats (Seat thigh only)' earns rear ventilated seats, as on the Syros EV; the MFR LED headlamps with LED DRLs earn the full-LED headlamp level. NOT CREDITED: the semi-leatherette seats of HTE to HTK+; tilt-only steering (no telescopic); the Starmap LED tail lamps, which are not joined by a light bar; rear parking sensors, which every trim has but the registry does not price. No ADAS, 360 camera, blind-spot monitor or front parking sensors on any trim. ENGINES as Kia prints them in kW: 1.0 T-GDi 88.3 kW and 172 Nm, 1.5 CRDi 85 kW and 250 Nm. Kia publishes no certified efficiency for either engine, so none is stored. Boot 390 litres on HTE to HTK(EX) and 465 litres with the sliding rear seat from HTK+. ROOF RAILS (29 Oct 2026): the maker lists roof rails and does not describe them as a garnish or styling element, so they are credited under the same rule as every other car; no load rating is published.
